De beperkende factor is uiteindelijk toch wie er onder hangt al heb je een kite uit 2014 met super low-end  je moet je het er wel uit kunnen halen!

So despite a lot of people thinking "wakestyle" is newschool, you were riding boots and doing passes before some of these current PKRA guys were even walking. What caused you to look at boots as a viable setup while most guys were out there boosting in straps?
yeah man I come from Florida where me and my friends helped create wake boarding too. it was called skurfing when we started. Back then the bindings were light and tight and back then my whole board with the bindings and fins/plates, bolts and stickers was lighter than one binging of today. If the guys today had the equipment I had back then they would be going huge and way faster up to speed and it would help them with style because it's easy to correct a mistake or over / under rotation.
There is something to be said for a custom carbon kevlar hand shaped board for sure.

What do you think of the current wakestyle movement? Anything you'd like to see happen with the wakestyle guys that you haven't seen yet?
Yeah, try way the fuck harder. If 15 years ago the kitebeach crew showed whats up, it's maybe proof that the new kids on the block been spending way too much time at the club and pimping out their houses. Do like Rocky and train in meat locker lil bit. This year we all need to push it big time. The kites every 5 years get real good and then slowly get shitty. This year is the beginning again. the reason the kites get shitty is because in truth it takes about 5 years to make,test,and improve a kite model. It has to be proven. when a company tries to keep up with dates or trends they fail because they didn't take the time to love the ass of the kite like a woman's ass. I'm telling you this year is going to be amazing for all of us and nobody is going to care any more about racing. You will all get very sleepy and send lots of gifts and money to me and my secret minions and we will surprise you with a kite like never before.
I think it's rad but as expected really underfunded. The Original guys like me and shannon have to work hard to find those oil tankers and helicopters to pull riders so we can up the level for the younguns.
I still am blown away that not many real surfers or wakeboarders took up kiteboarding. It's cuz we got no media guy other than some faggot ass windsurfer who has to appeal to what the public says is hip and groovy. We must still look super cheesy or maybe just those guys don't ever get wind. Let me put it to you this way, if your wake style.......and you miss a trick and you land anyway pulling your leash in to get your bar back before you sink.....your fucking fired.

When you miss a trick you should be seeing everything in shades of green and black for 2 days. your going to think it was 2 minutes long before you could get your breath back and you should have a headache that makes you puke the second you crawl up on shore. Your not going to have any kids in this phase so go for it all out you got nothing to loose. The girls are going to be so confused at the club that your not humping thier legs like the normal cats and you will probably end up with free messages and blow jobs just because you look hurt and focused. The rewards are epic. both she and you while she blows you know that well. your bad ass. and the racer fag in the motel next door is not.
Yeh, if those guys would ride super powered up in light wind and in high wind then we would get more respect due to the mayhem of low high speed spiral fracturing crashes. What about the bar, fuckin christ. get off the chicken loop fagots. There is no crying in kiteboarding. the whole point is to hold on for dear life. you need that center of the bar clear not with gizmos and for pete's sake put some hockey tape with some surf board wax rubbed all nice so you have a sticky stick fellas.
I'd also like to see all em not use any fins anymore and ride in a pack. you will motivate each other shit loads if you stick close and prop each other up. encourage each other to go for it. Music and cool helmets like just a foam crown or something so you can jam out to the same song at the same time your friends ride. I'd like to see that pkra or whatever ksp on t.v. for cryin out loud. why we gotta watch re-runs?. I'd like to see Robby Naish throw a sick s-bend or 3 off a kicker. I'd like to see way more night ridding parties and gear made for kids. The girls should have pink stuff and fluffy bumpers and pumps that are half as high as the guys. We are about 14 years overdue for a massive massive kite stock sort of event. something that makes the Mai Tai take a fucking hike. I would like to see the event site looking like the skate course at the x games with 50 percent the water space clogged with shit to ride on and judges that are all female.
I'd like to see an event won by someone other than the team rider from the sponsor of the event.
There should be a huge contest once a year in Maui and at the trade shows and in the magazines wake style is it's own category not to be mixed with racing ads or advertising. the company should take out 2 ads if they want to promote some wake style or racing.
Kites for wakeboarders would be plain, like primer grey so artists can logo them up righteous.
There is also a huge huge prejudice because the black guys know how to jump if we look at history.
The young guys need to respect the old guys who paved the road. They need to name tricks and holidays after some of em.
After you have spent a million dollars in equipment over 20 years aside from "WHAT MY SPONSORS PROVIDE ME....What I'm SUPPOSED TO RIDE" bla.
In time when you have blown out your ear drums, your retinas have fallen off, your inner lining of your nose eroded by salt water, your neck one solid bone shaft stiff as fuck all, your shoulders can't support your arms and your fingers look like an old italian blacksmiths. When your ribs are broke, your stomach skin all torn up from your years of harness use along with your posture, you shit blood regularly, knees gone, ankles, shot, feet backwards and when someone offers you a piece of gum you can't stop reminding them that in Latin, Trident means Three teeth, and that's all you got left from all the red bull you drank to pull of a switch mobe one night when you refused to come in and go home unless you pull it off one way or another.

Misschien kan je de 400 die je bied onderbouwen en wie weet sta ik er voor open...
Kan alleen zeggen dat ik de kite 4keer gevaren heb en daarna niet meer gebruikt heb.
Aanschaf waarde was rond de 1000,-euro dat hoef en krijg ik er niet meer voor terug dat weet ik!
Maar er 600,-euro afhalen gaat mij iets te ver;-)
