The first thing you need to know is that there are two Sector board models: Sector 60 and Sector 52. The Sector 60 is a 172 x 60cm board, so it’s pretty wide. The fact that it is wide is a good thing if you want to go out on the water in extreme light wind conditions. The rider needs a wide board if he wants to have a good time in such conditions.

The Sector 52 is a 173 x 52cm board, so it’s pretty wide as well. The Sector 52 can be used by the lighter rider if he plans to go out in light wind conditions. This board can be used in stronger winds, but it is meant to be used by a specific type of rider – the heavier rider.

According to Airush, the board’s manufacturer, the 2010 Sector is the perfect freerace board. It has fin configuration innovations and hull design innovations that allow the rider to squeeze more performance out of the Sector than he could from traditional light wind boards.
