North Rocket fish (2006)

The Rocket Fish was developed by John Amundson in the surf of the Hawaiian Islands. The Rocket Fish has great up wind abilities. On any given day it will point higher up wind than almost any other design. The Rocket Fish also works great in light wind conditions. It is common to see the last person out riding, as the wind drops, on a Rocket Fish. The Rocket Fish is a high performance surf design that turns tight in the pocket and is capable of performing the highest level surf moves

The integrated Kickpad on the board also allows high performance pure surfing – strapless. The bottom features a concave to V of the tail. The concave gives the board great hold and accelerates speed out of turns while the V loosens up the tail and makes rail to rail turning very responsive. The outline has a smooth and full look; this works very well in performance surfing and the fullness is a huge asset for light wind riding. The wing loosens up the tail for an increased turning radius. The rail has medium volume that resembles the latest surfboard designs. The Rocket Fish was designed, tested, and approved on the North Shore of Oahu.
