The GKSONIC is a Supported Leading Edge free ride hi performance 4 line kite, 100% depower.


The GKSONIC designed by Mat Pendle is the result of many years of research and brain storming.  From the very beginning GK has been producing kites with a large wind range, this is mainly due to invention of Mat Pendle the KPO (Kite Power optimizer). This idea has been patented in the beginning of 2003.

This strong innovation allows the kite to automatically position itself according to how much power you put into the bar. The kite shifts backwards and forwards, instead of moving up and down on the axis that would be the front lines connected to the kite.

This gives much less bar pressure, and gives more efficiency when you power up. You don't have the back line tips wanting to go towards each other causing drag.

The depower is much more efficient as the front lines shift forwards, and totally cancel the power.

The profile of the kite, the design of the leading edge and the position of the struts, are very important factors to be combined together correctly  to get the incredible flying characteristics of the gksonic.

There are invisible innovations in the shape of the kite; there is not one profile that goes from the centre to the tip, but several profiles combined together, this will give more flying speed to the tips, making the kite turn faster, have better control when flying in top wind range.

The double struts on the tip, control multiple profiles, and give more stability and buoyancy for easy take off.

The GKSONIC combines for the first time in the same kite, high performance, 100% safety, (let go off the bar and power disappears) and easy flying.
