05:15 @ 24-08-09, 249 keer bekekenRob Whittall (Ozone designer) and I headed to Fiji for 4 weeks of dedicated testing for the 2010 Ozone water kite range! Our destination - Nananu-I-Ra, an island situated at the northern tip of Viti Levu, just a short boat trip from the main island. The main kiting beach on Nananu-I-Ra faces ESE which is perfect for the common SE trade winds during winter.
Over the 4 weeks we had 15 rideable days, not as much as we were hoping for, but it was still enough for some good days testing with the 2010 Ozone prototypes.
We had winds ranging from 8 knots on the light days to 35 knot gusts on the strong days which allowed us to ride and test all the sizes and styles of kites.
