Some news from our rider Marten, owner of one of the leading Kite schools in Sweden. Â He is also the guy that kitesurfed that monster wave in SA featured in Capetown.
After using the Ozone 2009 kites for close to a year, I have nothing else to say except its has been my best year on the water. The kites have worked perfectly in my kite school and the majority of intermediate students who have used other brands previously have remarked about the ease of use and functionality of Ozone kites. Unfortunately I have been to busy to squeeze any long haul trips into my schedule this summer apart from a 90km open sea trip to the Danish island of Anholt. We completed it in three hours with 10-15 m/s winds and 2-3 meter swell. We ploughed through some gusty downpours you know when the rain feels like hail. Our Light ten kites faired us the distance comfortably even if we had to battle a little to keep upwind (the direction wasn’t quite what was predicted)
The past few weeks it has been blowing practically every day, we have received the autumn storms of our dreams. Finally the wave board and the small kites have been getting a workout. The six and even the four meter have got a few hours under there belts now. Last weekend it was blowing 44 knots with up to 55 in the gusts! I was a little nervous the Light four would be to sensitive for the extreme winds so went out in the water very cautiously and it went better than I expected. The four behaved itself and left me to carve up the waves that dared come my way. Now I feel like a kid sitting by the chimney waiting for Father Christmas to come down with the new C4 kites hoping that they too want to be my new friends in the waves.
Best kite regards
