Ozone would like to welcome Dave Edwards to the Team.
Dave has been kiting since 1999 and was based in Maui from 2001 – 2004 and competed in many different comps throughout Australia, NZ and Maui. His style going back a few years was full power kite loop, always a charger which hasn’t changed much except he is now charging strapless in the waves and with the Bullet, one of our Speed Flying wings Robbie Whittall, the Ozone Kites designer created.
Dave’s experience and understanding of the interaction between the air and wings will be a great addition to our testing Team. Check out the video from HD Films of Dave Speedflying his home spot in NZ on the Bullet
Dave and rider/photographer/videographer Armie Armstrong are always heading to Taranki one of New Zealand’s premier wave spots whenever it looks on. 10 days ago the guys headed there but unfortunately the swell didn’t come in enough so it was a smaller day but as you can see Dave put the C4 through its paces, his 1st ever session on it. Dave was so stoked with the C4’s versatile performance he has decided to ride Ozone.
"I instantly tuned into the C4 during the first few minutes and I had a great session in the small waves on offer that day. The kite was awesome upwind and on the waves was easy allowing me to concentrate on riding the wave. I was so stoked with the performance of the C4 and can’t wait to get my full set which isn’t easy due to the global demand I hear!"
