Ariel Corniel >> Punta Cana

I’ve just come back to Cabarete from Punta Cana, Dominican Republic with my friends Alex Soto, Robinson Hilario and Hege Holt, and we have discovered a new paradise. White sandy beaches and turquoise waters set the perfect frame for testing the new Ozone C4 kites to the limit in 25 knots amazing wind through a weekend filled with training, competition and early morning photo shoots. We were lucky to stay at the 5 star resort Punta Cana Resort & Club, which we definitely are not used to, riding in insane conditions and waking up to the most beautiful sunrises, we didn’t feel much like going back to Cabarete.

Punta Cana was incredible; we spent all weekend at the beach with great conditions. We did a competition with the new event Punta Cana Kite Fest, organized by Kite Club and it was all perfect. The water is flat and beautiful, just perfect for photos, videos and impressive entertainment. You can ride hard on this spot, and I especially liked the Ozone C4 in these conditions. After riding the kites down there all weekend I know that these kites are perfect for all kinds of riding, but better than anything is the correct way they perform in freestyle riding. I’m stoked to catch the 1st place in both disciplines in the competition, freestyle and racing. The kites also got me through 6AM photo shoots in the sunrise, which I really hope we can do again soon. Punta Cana Kite Fest is planning and hoping for an even bigger event end of January and I’m going to do my best to repeat the success I had with the C4’s this weekend.
