Hello everybody,

here’s a report related to UGD and Ozone’s products!

I’m really enjoying this season’s beginning! :)

Since I sopped snowkiting at the end of winter, there have been perfect conditions to enjoy once again surfing some waves at my home spot in Campo di Mare (Ozone Italian center).

I love the conditions with wind from West, starboard tack, waves from the right, and when the forecast wishes to offer funny days...20 knots and 1.5-2 meters waves scaduta da Libeccio.

These are my favorite conditions which really make me enjoy my favorite games :)

Since last year I’ve been using a UGD Freewave 5’2” board and my favorite kite CATALYST 10m.

The union between these to games is perfect for me and my capabilities, both to approach the wave and to surf the lip or close a bottom.

The controlled power delivery of my CATALYST 10 allows me to manage the speed while riding a wave and at the same time it makes me control the traction while I close the lip and redescend down the wave to go catch it again some 10 meters after.

The CATALYST allows me to know its position within the wind window as it is not too fast nor to slow, so that my body’s movements are perfectly in harmony with the movements of the kite within the window.

It never happened that I found the kite unexpectedly positioned inside the window, I can always follow its movements. Extremely smooth on the bar, I can surf for hours without ever getting tired of it :)

Another plus? Get to the beach, pump the kite in 2 minutes (as it’s a one-pump), no pulleys, no set trim, no adjustments...you simply attach the lines in a foolprof simple way as they’re numbered...and go: to my point of view Ozone’s philosophy can be simplified with just the word ESSENTIAL (what else do you want  to surf the waves?).

I’m also excited by my surfboard, UNDERGROUND FREEWAVE 5’8”, and by its incomparable versatility for the conditions we have in the Mediterranean sea.

Fast, stable, reactive and smooth so that your legs don’t get tired. What else can we ask?

I’m fascinated by the red colour and by the unusual shape arising from the innovative building concept oriented towards all those who wish to learn surfing with a unidirectional or strapless.

Don’t forget that many beautiful boards on sale, designed by renowned athletes are projected for oceanic waves and not for the Mediterranean ones, therefore these boards end up being performance only occasionally in certain locations such as Capo Mannu.

The UGD Freewave is extremely accessible to everyone, also for who wishes to get in touch with the wave world ;-)

Trust me when I say that it’s meaningless to have a brand under your feet as your skills and your fun can convert your kite section into the perfect day!

This was my big day, finding friends, wind and passions at my home.spot, with my surfboard and the kite of my dreams.
