Local Race Day in New Zealand >> Ozone riders clean up
03:45 @ 10-06-10, 116 keer bekekenHi everyone,
The Ozone crew left the Raglan HQ on Queens Birthday Monday and headed across to the east coast of New Zealand to Tauranga for a fun day of racing organized by Assault Kiteboarding Centre NZ.
A great day had by all, for some riders it was their 1st day of racing and everyone loved it. It was a fun day and we recommend other local schools/dealers should run a fun days racing.
Thanks again to Assault Kiteboarding Centre for organizing the day, and congrats to Torrin Bright and Hugh Pinfold who both dominated their race classes riding the Ozone Edge 2010.
This Saturday (June 12th) there will be a race day held in Ragaln, the base of the Ozone design team.
Cheers
Team Ozone

Torrin Bright cleans up in the Raceboard class.
Torrin smoked the competition riding the Ozone 9m Edge and Underground raceboard. In 15 to 25 knot westerly breeze he finished both three lap course races well ahead of the fleet. Tony Whakaneke and Kelby Bright both took a second and third placing each to place them second equal overall.
17 riders competed in the Twin tip class with Raglan rider Hugh Pinfold cleaning up the competiton. Hugh had two convincing wins of the two lap course showing awesome upwind speed and angle on his Ozone 11m Edge and Underground Styx. Nick Coulter and Matt Webb rode well each achieving a second placing. Overall Matt took second place with Joe Neureuter third.
All up a great day! 26 riders; with crew from Rotorua, Mt Maunganui, Tauranga and Raglan. Thanks to everyone for supporting the event!
Thanks to Mark from Onsite Spouting for the box of beers prize for the biggest Air at the finish of a race. This went to Joe Neureuter. Or more likely his dad.
Next raceday end of July."
