Troy Henkels >> Bering Strait Training in Alaska
03:00 @ 07-07-10, 89 keer bekekenTraining is well underway for the Bering Strait Kiteboarding Expedition 2010.
The July 4th weekend found Alaska kiters out in full force on Turnagain Arm and Eklutna Lake, riding a strong southeast wind. I was finally able to kite all the way across Turnagain Arm, a first in Alaska and logged about 6 miles in doing so.
On Eklutna lake I was able to put down about 12 miles and was on the water for over 5 hours....unheard of by Alaska standards.
Early August will find the BSKE team poised in Wales, Alaska to make the first ever attempt to cross the Bering Strait via kiteboard.
See www.BeringStraitExpedition.com or www.TroyHenkels.com for more details.
