Kari Schibevaag >> Australia and PKRA is over for this year

The PKRA season is now over and I am happy to pack my kites and go home to Norway and start the season in the snow.

Australia disappointed me with the wind and the waves and I can say I think there are better spots than surfers paradise in Australia, but I had fun there and I am happy to join the PKRA for the first time in Australia.

We did the freestyle and here I got 4th and also 4th overall in the PKRA this year..  I am happy for this because I have been focusing more on the waves and race this year. To be in the top in freestyle is good and it makes me happy and gives me motivation to train.

We also finished the boarder cross. We did it in super light wind but the new C4 kite worked really well and helped me to finish in 2nd position. I have to say thanks to Torrin for pumping the new C4 kite and helping me in the race. I am stoked about the new kites both C4 and Catalyst. I was testing them here in the event and I can’t wait to get them and ride with them.

The waves did not happen at this event. We started and I had a good 1st heat, but then PKRA decided to do freestyle and this was the end of the wind and waves. Gisela and me had the same points for the 1st overall waves, but she had a better score in the last event and got it. I am happy to be pushing the waves and for next year I will come stronger for sure.

Thanks Ozone for the support all the year, with out your help and the amazing kites it will never have been this good. I will see you all in the snow :)
