Airush Square One (2003)

The Square ONE is a new generation kiteboard. Recent development in kiteboarding has seen board lengths and widths reduced by massive proportions. The square one is quite the opposite, for at 48 cm wide it is surely the widest twin tip in production. It signals the alternative, broader and more user friendly aspect of an otherwise ultra extreme sport.

It is a new style of board that makes kiteboarding easier and more accessible to everyone than ever before.

In the early days oversized twin tips had two main flaws. They were very inefficient, having a tendency to stick to the water and secondly they were incapable of holding any power from the kite. The Square one has re-written the rules. It's fast, easy and manouverable all in a board that requires extremely low amounts of power to ride. This is a massive benefit to the beginner, who will find the extra volume and minimal kite sizes required makes learning not only easy but extremely safe. Mistakes are forgiven as the board keeps planing even if the kite power is interrupted. The thin low volume rails together with the individually sized fins allow the board to track well upwind and change direction easily.

To the intermediate rider the Square One offers an easy twin tip style, capable of cruising effortlessly with fantastic upwind performance with stability powered by only minimal kite sizes. The single concave hull and slight beveled rails give not only a super soft ride but allow a great deal of feedback to the rider. When the Square one gets overpowered the rail profiles enable you to feel exactly how much grip is left so you don't lose control. It is a new style of board that makes kiteboarding easier and more accessible to everyone than ever before.
