Ai, slecht nieuws voor dit seizoen wat betreft Nederlandse aspiraties voor een titelwinst in de PKRA: Na iets verrekt te hebben in zijn schouder is hij uit de kom geschoten toen Youri Zoon door de pijn heen bleef knokken voor een 3e plek.

"So some news from me! After some good heats of riding in one of my tricks against Louis Hutter I overstretched my arm! After some fysio on the beach( thanks for that again)! I went into my next heat and just couldn't perform the way I normally do! So I lost from Marc Jacobs and had to go in the loosers final with still alot of pain on my arm. I tried to go for it and I was going ok till I landed a s-mobe and I heard my shoulder pop with an immediate pain!
Going to the ambulance they concluded my shoulder was dislocated. After some drugs and other stuff they managed to pull it back in.
Still hoping it's a bad dream but it's reality unfortunatly!

Update, Youri postte dit vanmorgen op zijn Facebook:
"Rough day today, went to UMCG in Groningen all the way in the north of Holland, luckly i had a very fast and special treatment.( fysio and doctor are both kitesurfers haha)
I had the MRI scan and they found out the labrum has a crack. In normal circumstances the would recommend to let it rest and train a lot and get back out there.
Since I am a athlete things are a little different and they recommend a surgery.
Which will put me out for about 4 to 6 months.
This means my season will be over! And I will be back on the water around end of november.
I can also choose the other option which is train a lot and hopefully be ready for China but the risk of having an other schoulder dislocation will be bigger than when having an operation.
So to make it al short! I will be having an Operation and be out for a while.
Harsh deals! But i guess thats the reall life.
