"i'm the impressed 666 rider...very nice bit of kit indeed, i usually fly vapours, 10m being the favourite but the 666 10m makes the vapour seem pedestrian, as soon as you move the bar the kite reacts, guys out today who are lighter than me..me being 14st, were on a 12m ocean rodeo and a 14 crossbow i was on the 10m 666 and comfortably rode when and where i wanted..( 10 years doing this lark helps)..only a quick fly as it was bloody freezing..
a couple of guys had a go who are beginner/intermediates and said they felt at home straight away, with responsive turning and easy and quick to get off the water once ditched.
when you jump on the kite it's elevator mode straight up and floaty down time, one of the guys , so he says ,one of his biggest jumps today, might have been because of not used to kite etc but it looked very stable, when you did powered loops the kite doesn't flutter it's as if the thing was on steel rods not kite lines.rides very well unhooked with no deformaty in the kite.
the kites we had, had to be trimmed slightly ie:we shortened the back lines, but this was done from the bar end and once dialed in were fine..
did fly the 555 but because of the cold and frozen hands wasn't a decent test,,again a 10m and the softer power delievery will appeal IMHO to bow/sle flyers who want maybe a two kite quiver and who want to grin all day.
nice comfy bar with a swivel that works under load, the bags simple and straight forward as well..
well i'm having a 10m and 14m 666 for myself..can't wait to try it in 25knts winds and a bit warmer weather
oh yea wind was on off 13... to 20 knts.
and No mike you can't have them back"
