Recommendation kiterepair shop

Hi Guys,

One of the seams of one of the struts of my kite (Naish Cult 10,5m²) recently ripped open. It is the one next to the middle one and the damage is about 5cm away from the leading edge. The seam ripped open for about 10cm - the bladder is actually still fine.

I already talked to one kiterepair shop in Katwijk (www.kiterepair.nl) and I was told it would be around EUR 35 to get the seam closed again. I think the price is ok, or (?!) but just wanted to know whether someone has experience with them or can recommend someone with better opening hours (they are only open Mo-Fr 10-17.30).

Perhaps ans thoughts on repairing it myself? I think you need a special sewing machine for that, right?

I always go to Kitereparatie.nl in Laren. He always fixed my kites for a reasonable price..

I would recommend Farla in Den Haag. I've experienced that they are a bit cheaper, much faster and deliver good quality.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the quick responses. I called kitereparatie.nl, very good first impression. He said I can still drive by tonight and he'll get it fixed probably on the spot for about EUR 20. Will report back once I have the results.
