Winter has hit New Zealand, a perfect time to explore the tropical warmth of Aitutaki in the Cook Islands. Only a 4 hour flight from NZ, Aitutaki is on our Doorstep! In this video (Part 1) we catch a week of wind and no crowds at the famous flat water spot, Honeymoon Island (Maina iti) before the onslaught of the 2013 Manureva kitesurfing event. Les, Pauro, Eva & myself had the place to ourselves!
