Deze Torch staat op mijn verlanglijstje voor dit jaar.

Maar wat betreft de innovatie van de 4x ripstop vraag ik me hardop af, waarom leggen ze die ribstop niet in een driehoeksverband? Dan heb je toch juist een nog stijver doek?

Wellicht dat de weef machines daar niet voor gemaakt zijn. Sowieso komt de stijfheid niet van het doek maar van de coating. Sterker nog, de weving bij dubbele ripstop is losser dan bij enkele ripstop dus als je dat niet weet te compenseren met de coating krijg je dus het fenomeen dat een dubbele ripstop van een bepaalde leverancier meer bias stretch heeft dan de enkele ripstop van die leverancier. De grafiek die ze nu gebruiken op de naish website is iets te veel marketing en iets te weinig wetenschap (imo) Geen specificaties waar de nummers op zowel x als y as voor staan of hoe er getest is. In Japan zijn er gewoon de JIS (Japanese Industry Standard) methodes voor deze metingen welke Teijin ook hanteerd. Laat die data dan zien zou ik zeggen.

'Greater angle of attack control for more instant depower' (met een tekeningetje erbij  )

Niks anders dan een minimale bridle om de AoA te vergroten


Ironie van het verhaal is dat Slingshot juist met zijn Fuel 2017 weer deze bridle ondersteuning compleet weglaat
Ach ja, je moet die marketingjongens toch ook weer wat te schrijven geven
