Job description
As Associate or Assistant Professor within the ASSET Interfaculty Development Institute you will be responsible for initiating, coordinating and carrying out developement and advanced research, theoretical and experimental, in the field of controlled kites and their application. You will be supported by an enthusiastic group of young researchers and two Assistant Professors, possibly form other faculties. In addition, you will be tasked with supervising and coaching MSc and PhD students in the relevant research areas, while also participating in the Institute regular educational duties.

Requirements
Doctorate
Applicants should have a PhD or its research equivalent and broad knowledge and experience in the field of aerodynamics in lightweight, flexible structures (e.g. kites, paragliders, etc.). as well as a solid track record in mostly experimental research as evidenced by international publications. Proficiency in lecturing at a university level is required. Good communication skills in general and the ability to maintain an international network of scientific and industry contacts are a must. You are challenged to accelerate the development of kite power and to enhance the involvement of young students in this area; you will also be expected to initiate new research and acquire the corresponding funding.

Good communication skills hebben ze het dan over.... zeker niet over goede kennis van de Engelse taal:

Dikgedrukt zou an moeten zijn aangezien het volgende woord begint met een klinker.

Maar er zullen inderdaad maar weinig mensen zijn die aan al deze requirements kunnen voldoen (zoaks het in principe ook wel een gewoonte is om het bijna onmogelijke te vragen voor een vacature).
