Sunday 6th September

On 4th September l’Hydroptère became the fastest sailing boat on the planet over 500 meters and over one nautical mile. Alain Thébault and his 10 crew members achieved incredible results and established two new world speed records at 51.36 knots over 500 meters and 48.72 knots over one nautical mile.

These data will be ratified by the World Sailing Speed Record Council (WSSRC) in the coming days.

As l'Hydroptère continues the record campaign until 7th october, the Hydroptère Team will try to achieve even better results during the next appropriate weather conditions.
