Windria is a hyperlocal weather forecast application for sailors. Windria forecasts have up to 25x higher precision than widely used GFS forecasts and are produced in collaboration with several national weather agencies around the world. It offers free interactive visualisation of winds, gusts, waves and currents. A feature that we are really exited about is the ability to switch and compare different models (WRF ARW, CMC, Hirlam, Skiron, NOAA HRRR,...), which gives you a higher confidence when sailing at sea.

Why is it better than Windyty?
We try to have data as precise as possible and give you a variety of models instead of just having GFS. (http://forums.sailinganarchy.com/index.php?showtopic=171338)





PS: Site is vnl. gefocussed op zeilers (open zee, cruises, havens), maar biedt ook voor de kiter genoeg info...

Weer een hele mooie site erbij. Fijn.
Maar wat ik eigenlijk altijd mis is een vergelijking van de actuele wind met de voorspelde wind in één grafiek zodat je het verloop van de dag goed in kan schatten.
