Nobile Shinn Wave (2008)

The Shinn Wave has snowboard-style construction featuring a high-flex composite core, unique three-step tail design, progressive concave design and tucked ABS rails. Large 12 mm pads are supplied preattached, with a new dedicated wave strap. Top-quality 6 to 8 cm G10 fins and a board bag round out this package.

The Wave is one of the most user-friendly surf designs SBC Kiteboard has tested. Its flat tail rocker gives the board excellent acceleration and glide. The board flexes comfortably during bottom turns, providing excellent control with smooth, powerful turns. Switching the feet during jibes is more difficult than on more traditional surfboard due to the smaller size. But it’s not a problem in the surf, because the board is equally comfortable toeside and tail-first, making it easy to change directions quickly during closeout sets. Its small size compared to surfboards makes slashing top turns in small surf effortless. Setting the straps up in a wider stance allows for even more aggressive riding. The Shinn Wave is the perfect board for the weekend wave warrior.
